Sometimes it is best to end the relationship:

  • If the benefits of the relationship are low, and the costs of maintaining it are high.


  • But if the benefits of the relationship (to any of the people involved) are reasonably high. . .


  • Then effective conflict skills can bring great benefits to everyone involved,


  • And can save the relationship.
