D. Talk Around the Problem


Many times people talk about everything except the problem.

They are afraid to discuss what is really bothering them, so they pretend that the problem is something else (often a smaller problem).

This can work, if you improve your relationship regarding these little things first AND

you eventually get to what is really bothering you.

BUT if you never get to the real issue, this won't help at all. It might even make things worse.
